Advisory Board Members

David Kaplan is the Patricia Busk Professor of Quantitative Methods in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and holds affiliate appointments in the Department of Population Health Sciences and the Center for Demography and Ecology. Dr. Kaplan has been a consultant on numerous projects sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education (IES and NCES), the National Science Foundation, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) where he is currently a member of the Questionnaire Expert Group for the OECD/Programme on International Student Assessment (PISA). He has been a visiting professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Milano-Bicocca. Dr. Kaplan is an elected member of the National Academy of Education and serves as the chair of its Research Advisory Committee. He is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 5, Evaluation, Measurement, & Statistics) and in 2001 was the Jeanne Griffith Fellow at the National Center for Education Statistics.

 

George A. Marcoulides is Research Professor at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. He was previously Distinguished Professor of Research Methodology at the University of Califorina, Santa Barbara, Professor of Research Methods and Statistics at the University of California, Riverside, and Professor of Statistics in the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at California State University, Fullerton. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of California-Irvine, the University of Geneva, and the University of London. He has served as a consultant to numerous government and state agencies, companies in the United States and abroad, and to various national and multi-national corporations. Dr. Marcoulides has co-authored or co-edited 16 books and edited volumes. His research contributions have received Best Paper Awards from the Academy of Management, the Decision Sciences Institute, and the American Educational Research Association-University Council for Educational Administration. He is a Fellow of the American Educational Research Association, a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, and a member of the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology. He is Editor of the journals Structural Equation Modeling and Educational and Psychological Measurement and Editor of the Quantitative Methodology Book Series.

 

Stephen G. West is Professor of Psychology at Arizona State University. He is currently associate editor of Multivariate Behavioral Research. He has held regular or visiting faculty positions at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Florida State University, University of Texas at Austin, Duke University, UCLA, Universität Kiel, Universität Heidelberg, and Freie Universität Berlin. Dr. Kaplan previously served as editor of Psychological Methods, editor of Journal of Personality, associate editor of Evaluation Review, and co-editor of Evaluation Studies Review Annual (Vol. 4). He is the co-author or co-editor of 12 books and edited volumes including Multiple Regression: Testing and Interpreting Interactions (1991) and Applied Multiple Regression/Correlation Analysis for the Behavioral Sciences (3rd Ed., 2003). He is a fellow of Divisions 5 (Evaluation, Measurement, & Statistics) and 27 (Society for Community Research and Action) of the American Psychological Association.
